What does “Sleep Mode” mean?

Some of our device types have a set configuration which will shut down the device in the event a certain voltage is reached. For a few devices, this results in an event called "Sleep Mode", where the device has gone offline only because the voltage was too low.

  • It's important to note that not all devices have this shut-down feature, and for those that do have it, not all devices generate an event called "Sleep Mode"
  • For newer devices, you may only see messages such as "Backup Battery" indicating power has been lost, or voltage ratings of 0 (zero) volts indicating the same.

For devices without auto-shut-down features, you can still set up notifications for low voltage situations to alert you to a potential problem. If you need assistance with this, please connect with your Account Manager or our Support Team.
