      Which PosiTrace device do I need for ELD operation?

      The PosiTracker | G87 is our current, certified ELD device, to be used alongside the Apollo ELD application.

      Please contact your account manager if you need to purchase a new unit, or replace an existing unit, that is compatible with ELD operation.

      Please note the PosiTracker | G87 is a plug-and-play device that is compatible with the following ports:

      • Native support:
        • OBD-II
          an OBD port splitter is available as an optional add-on
      • Adapters available:
        • JBUS 6-pin
          This is the oldest port technology in Semi Trucks
        • JBUS 9-pin (Type 1 or 2)
          The most common kind of connectors. Our adapter is a Type 2 Green which is backward-compatible with Type 1 Black ports as well.
        •  RP1226
          The newest port technology. Many semi-trucks 2019 and later will have an RP1226 port. If your vehicle has both a JBUS and RP1226 port, you should always use RP1226.
          • Please consult your vehicle's technical manual or distributor to determine the location of your RP1226 port, as the location varies widely.
