# How do I create a driver in Apollo ELD?

**Alert:** When creating your driver, they must have a username which is unique across the **entire Apollo platform**. Usernames that are not unique will fail the synchronization process to between PosiTrace and Apollo. 

To create a driver for Apollo ELD, you will do so from the PosiTrace Platform: 

- Navigate to **ELD** \> **Add Driver**.

- Alternatively, you can add drivers under **Account** \> **Drivers**.

Your driver must have a **valid email address**, as the password and username will be sent to your driver via email. If needed, the password can be re-issued to the driver using the Resend option on the Driver's profile in the PosiTrace Platform.
