PosiTrace GPS does not have installers on staff, and any installer recommendation would be a third-party with their own pricing, installation procedures, and warranties.
Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, you are responsible for:
- locating a qualified 12-volt vehicle installer
- scheduling your installation during the installer’s working hours
- paying the bill for installation services
As third-parties, installers have the right to:
- Set their prices independently
- Set their own working hours
- Refuse a job for any reason
- Charge any and all fees they find appropriate, including travel fees, emergency situation fees, and/or fuel surcharges
Please fully discuss your install costs with the installer prior to the start of the job.
In some cases, we may suggest an installer for you to use that we are aware of in your area. This suggestion does not constitute a guarantee of quality, service, price, or that the install will be free from errors.
Typically, qualified installers will warranty their work and will correct any install errors for free, but please discuss this with your installer prior to hiring them.
- PosiTrace GPS is not responsible for damage done to a vehicle as a result of an installer or a bad installation. Please go through your installer to deal directly with their insurance coverage.
If a device is found to be non-functional and within the PosiTrace GPS warranty terms, replacement hardware and shipping costs are covered by PosiTrace GPS; however, installation or inspection costs for non-functioning devices are not covered and must be paid directly to any third-party installer hired.
